UNICEF Career: Communication Officer, Digital Engagement – Bangkok

Opportunity overview

The Communication Officer will lead UNICEF Thailand’s strategic use of digital channels for communication, advocacy and fundraising. The role is responsible for growing and diversifying the online supporter base and for turning digital engagement into measurable advocacy actions and fundraising outcomes.

Beyond content production, the officer will protect UNICEF’s digital brand, integrate digital thinking across campaigns and partnerships, and keep the office responsive to changing platforms, technologies and audience behaviour. It is a results-oriented position combining strategy, content, analytics and coordination.

What you will work on

  • Develop and deliver a digital supporter-engagement strategy across web, social and emerging platforms.
  • Grow reach and engagement while improving the quality of interactions and conversion into advocacy or fundraising action.
  • Ensure digital content follows UNICEF brand standards and proactively manage reputational or platform risks.
  • Integrate digital engagement into advocacy campaigns, programme visibility, donor stewardship and partner activations.
  • Use analytics, trends and new technologies to test, refine and improve UNICEF Thailand’s digital presence.

Who should consider applying

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, digital media or a related field.
  • At least two years of relevant experience in communications, broadcast media, interactive digital media or a related area.
  • Useful skills include marketing strategy, data analytics, fundraising, leadership and team management.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Thai and English is required. Analytics tools, CRM systems and vendor supervision experience are assets.
