UN Volunteer: Construction Site Manager – Türkiye

Opportunity overview

UNOPS is recruiting three Construction Site Managers for public-use buildings in areas affected by earthquakes and in provinces receiving post-earthquake migration. These facilities are intended to improve access to essential, integrated services.

The assignment is fully field-based. Each manager will supervise day-to-day construction, check compliance with drawings and technical specifications, monitor schedules and quality, and maintain the records needed for safe and accountable project delivery.

What you will work on

  • Supervise daily construction progress and confirm that work follows the approved programme.
  • Check work against technical specifications and report deviations promptly.
  • Maintain daily and weekly reports, meeting minutes, instructions, variation orders, certifications and handover documentation.
  • Monitor schedules, quantities, quality, occupational safety and security, escalating issues that may affect delivery.
  • Coordinate site activities and provide technical advice through design, implementation and handover stages.

Who should consider applying

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, civil engineering, construction management or another relevant technical field.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in building construction, site supervision, infrastructure or project management.
  • Demonstrated quality-control, monitoring, reporting and digital productivity-tool skills.
  • Fluent English and Turkish are required. Humanitarian, multicultural, UN-system and technical-documentation experience are assets.
