Opportunity overview
UNDP and the European Union are implementing a governance initiative in Namibia focused on anti-corruption, public financial management and stronger institutions. The assignment will help translate the partnership into practical technical assistance for public bodies, including the Anti-Corruption Commission and other institutions connected to accountability and service delivery.
The specialist will provide senior technical leadership, advise on laws and policies, build institutional capacity and manage relationships across government, civil society and development partners.
What you will work on
- Guide implementation of the EU–UNDP good-governance action and keep interventions evidence-based and responsive to national needs.
- Advise on anti-corruption legislation, policies, strategies, public campaigns and institutional frameworks.
- Strengthen the mandates, structures and operational capacity of national anti-corruption institutions.
- Lead consultations with senior officials and diverse stakeholders while providing practical day-to-day technical support.
- Support project management, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, policy advice and knowledge sharing.
Who should consider applying
- A master’s degree in law, criminal justice, international relations, management, public administration, political or social science, or a related field.
- A bachelor’s degree may be considered with two additional years of qualifying experience.
- At least seven years of relevant experience, including anti-corruption policy or programme design.
- Strong knowledge of the UN Convention against Corruption, technical advisory ability, stakeholder engagement and fluent English.
