Supporting Fabrizio Hochschild (Former Under-Secretary General of the UN) during his three-week speaking tour in China was a valuable and inspiring experience. Working in an international environment allowed me to develop my communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills while interacting with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.

I learned the importance of being adaptable, flexible, and prepared when working in a fast-paced environment. Beyond the practical skills, I was inspired by Fabrizio’s lectures and the way he communicated with different audiences. His ability to listen, show empathy, and connect with people taught me the value of effective and respectful communication.

This experience strengthened my confidence and broadened my understanding of cross-cultural engagement, which will continue to benefit me in my future career.

My experience with GSLDC, however brief, was truly enriching! Being able to work on and support multiple projects for different purposes was a great way to expand my horizons on what how I could make contributions with my expertise!
