WHO Kazakhstan is seeking a Multimedia Communication Assistant to strengthen the visual quality and reach of public-health communication. The assignment combines graphic design, photography, video production and digital-content adaptation for subjects such as health systems, disease prevention, preparedness and immunization.
The volunteer will work part-time from WHO premises in Astana. The position suits a creative multimedia practitioner who can produce audience-focused materials quickly, maintain professional standards and adapt content for multiple digital platforms.
What you will work on
- Design infographics, social-media visuals, presentations, reports and campaign materials.
- Record and edit short videos, interviews, explainers, reels and clips, including subtitles where needed.
- Adapt content for websites, social platforms and online campaigns to improve visibility and engagement.
- Support communication planning for health campaigns, observance days and urgent public-health responses.
- Take professional photographs during events and missions and provide other multimedia support to WHO communication priorities.
Who should consider applying
- Candidates must be nationals, legal residents or recognized refugees in Kazakhstan.
- Secondary education and relevant multimedia experience are required; the listing highlights two years of relevant experience.
- Fluent Kazakh and English are required.
- Strong graphic design, photography and video-editing ability, with tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro.
